Our Mission

Though we all claim to revere the founders, I’d argue that we’re often too timid to actually imitate them.

Coming into this campaign with deeper, long-term, and non-political goals, we decided to come at this with a blank slate or “tabula rasa” approach.

As we thought on the American experience our founders set into motion, we were drawn to our
American Calling: our founders demand our government to maximize the life, liberty and happiness of our people.

Towards answering this call, we intend to provide the United States with a smarter direction and a renewed purpose for the next 25 years (a “North Star” if you will).

If done correctly, this singular program, yielding an end-to-end “American Playbook”, will work to revitalize America at the community, state, national,
and international levels.

As a starting point: we worked to understand value and its creation across time, as a nation’s (or community’s) cumulative resources are the fundamental constraints on its ability to provide for its people.

What was evident is that as History has progressed, we observe the golden sequence: the process architecture which best explains how we generate and convert our resources to value, and then bloom this value through the marketplace.

This is the roadmap to human civilization: where (new) knowledge is constructed into (new) technologies that manifest in (new) economy upon harvest.

Our founders provided an architecture for governance and the principles which virtuous American leaders must cultivate.

In acting on this imperative, our ongoing work looks to explore and leverage useful guiding structures like this golden sequence towards creating an advanced blueprint for modern politics.

Our cumulative work-- existing as a smarter system for solving problems of the public space (an "operating system" if you will)-- should provide an increasingly useful non-partisan toolkit/ framework/ language for solving problems.

If adopted, this system would help our public leaders best maximize 1) their efficiency as lawmakers, 2) the resources and value of America,
and most importantly, 3) the health, wealth & happiness of our people.

We must always remember— and I think we’ve substantially forgotten— that independent of partisanship and ideology, the bigger the "size of the pie", the more collective opportunity we have; the clearer our direction and the better our methodology, the higher our likelihood for success.

Critically, this vision for the future of politics would simultaneously also improve civic IQ and provide for the healthy engagement of the citizenry.

These twin aims are important because we must always remember that the process of running our Nation is a shared responsibility.
When we say it's time for a “new kind of politics”, we mean that we need to use better techniques, well-designed tools, more formal language, and smarter models in solving our problems of the public space.

This will equate to a more coherent, objective, and meaningful form of discourse-- and far greater results.

For a clear example of a structural flaw: we recognize an utter lack of a recursive approach in contemporary politics, whereas this has been known for centuries to be (more) optimal for the task at hand.

So in a sentence full of bitter irony: today’s politics could be classified as "backwards" precisely because we are not solving our problems backwards; seeing the solution first (i.e. the well-defined end state; [Z]), and deriving the best specific path(s) and points to achieve it (from "the initial conditions"; [A]).

Too often today, our thinking, prioritization of agenda items, and problem solving technique has failed to accord with this-- while our political focus itself is driven by chaotic media cycles on top of an ‘etch-a-sketch of ideas’.

This is a fundamental reason why the same root issues persist (and compound) across decades, and why our policy conversations spin in circles.

In other words: it’s time to think backwards.

In summary: we're here to work on America's fundamental problems in a proper fashion, rather than wasting our precious time on the emergent ones because that is a flawed methodology, and quite dangerous in light of scarcity!

We're here to help reboot and re-architect "America’s Operating System" for doing politics: putting us on a purposeful path with sound foundations.

This is what will help the United States find short-term and long-term prosperity— and that’s what we mean when we say our mission is “Revitalizing America”.
